Goal Scoring Regulations

  • Players are only allowed to score from within the shooting circle.

The ball is out of play.

When the ball crosses the sideline (touchline).

  • The ball is out of play when it crosses the sideline (touchline) in its entirety, and play is restarted by the opposing team.

  • The play is restarted within one meter of the location where the ball crossed the sideline or touchline.

  • If the ball goes out of the touchline from the defender inside the penalty area, the play is restarted from outside the penalty area within one meter of the touchline.

When the ball crosses the backline (goal line):

  • "If the ball goes out of play by the attacker, play is restarted by the opposing team inside the defending team's penalty area.

  • If the ball goes out of play by the defender or goalkeeper, play is restarted from the dashed line of the penalty area by the opposing team, parallel to the point where it exited.

Player Gameplay Regulations

  • Players are allowed to push and hit the ball inside the field.

  • Players are allowed to lift the ball inside the field provided that the opposing players are at a distance of 4 meters.

  • Players must not use their sticks in a dangerous manner.

  • Players must not raise their sticks above the heads of other players.

  • Players must not obstruct any other player.

  • Players must not play the ball with the back of the stick.

  • Players must move the ball (4) meters before shooting at the goal.

  • Players must not play the ball with any part of the stick when the ball is above shoulder height, except that defenders are allowed to use the stick to stop or clear a shot at goal at any height.

  • Players must leave or enter the court for substitution or any other purpose between the quarter-lines and the centre-line on a side of the court agreed with the umpires.

  • A player is allowed to shoot and score a goal from the half of the court they are attacking.

  • Substitutions are allowed after the player has exited the court first, followed by the entry of the substitute.

  • Players are allowed to substitute without returning to the court after completing a suspension.

  • Players who are suspended from play cannot be substituted during their suspension.

  • Substituting suspended players during their suspension is not allowed.

  • No one other than the players is allowed on the field during the match without prior permission from the umpires.

  • Time is only stopped when substituting the goalkeeper.

  • The match is stopped by the referee in the event of any injury, allowing the team official or doctor to assess the situation.

  • All players, whether on or off the field, are subject to the authority of the referees throughout the match and during halftime intervals and breaks.

  • Preventing the ball from stopping, kicking, or pushing it with any part of the body is prohibited.

  • Players are not allowed to play the ball while they are lying on the field.

  • Players are prohibited from intentionally entering or running behind any goal.

  • Players are prohibited from changing the bat during a penalty kick.

  • Players are prohibited from throwing objects onto the field.

  • Players are prohibited from hemming in the player in possession of the ball in the corner of the field or in front of the side barriers by opponents placing their bats on the ground, and must give them enough space to play the ball.

  • Players must not delay the game to take advantage of wasting time.

Goalkeeper playing regulations

  • The goalkeeper wearing a head covering and shin guard must not participate in the match outside their penalty area.

  • The goalkeeper is allowed to play and block the ball while lying on the field.

  • The goalkeeper must not lie on the ball.

When the ball crosses the goal line (the back line):

  • If the ball goes out of play due to the attacker, the opposing team restarts the game from inside the defensive area.

  • If the ball goes out of play due to a defender or goalkeeper, the opposing team restarts the game from the intersection line of the defensive area parallel to where it exited.

Referees' playing regulations

  • The match is officiated by two referees and a judge who are responsible for enforcing the rules and fair play.

  • Each referee bears responsibility for decisions made within their respective half of the field throughout the duration of the match.

  • The referees are responsible for keeping a record of the goals scored and the cards issued.

  • The referees are responsible for monitoring the match time and signaling the end of each period, as well as ensuring the completion of penalty kicks if the time exceeds the duration of the half.

  • The referee must instruct players on legal aspects rather than tactical or training matters.

  • If the ball hits the referee or non-players on the field, the game does not stop.

Fouls and Penalties

Free kicks are awarded:

  • If a player commits an unintentional foul inside the field.

  • Players must stand four meters away from the ball during the execution of a free kick.

A challenge is awarded:

  • In case a defender prevents the opponent from scoring a goal within their own half.

  • If a defender commits a deliberate foul within their own half.

  • If any player commits an unintentional foul against the one taking the challenge, the challenge is retaken.

A penalty kick is awarded:

  • If a defender prevents the ball from entering the goal with their foot or body.

  • If a defender commits a deliberate foul within their own half.

  • If any player commits an unintentional foul against the one taking the challenge, the challenge is retaken.

  • If the goalkeeper commits a foul against the attacker during a challenge.

  • If any player commits a deliberate foul against the one taking the challenge, a penalty kick is awarded.

Penalties

  • The Green Card: The player is suspended for one minute.

  • If the opposing team scores a goal, the player is allowed to return to the field before the suspension is completed, unless the goal was scored from a challenge kick caused by the player.

  • Yellow Card:

    - The player is suspended for two minutes.

    - If the player repeats the same offense, they are suspended for four minutes.

    - If the goalkeeper is sent off and there is no substitute goalkeeper available (wearing the full kit), one outfield player is selected and given sufficient time to wear the goalkeeper's kit.

    Red Card:

    - The player is ejected from the match.
